Perhaps a byproduct of that removal process is the lightening of some of the printing, seen primarily in the red colors that comprised the words "Super Bowl" and the seat location.

Although fainter than they were originally, those elements are still present and visible. The black printing seems to be no worse for the wear, exhibiting strongly on both the front and back of the ticket.
